Late last week a winter storm that came through and on Saturday Martin and I drove south of the city and saw things this Florida girl has never seen before. It was a pretty devastating storm for many people...long-lasting power outages, and lots of damage, but the one thing I can say about an ice storm is that unlike a tornado or hurricane, what is left in its wake can be gorgeously breathtaking. It was a real-life winter wonderland, and it was spectacular! I won't go on and on...these images speak for themselves:
I'm not so into the winter cold, but the visuals can be simply stunning.
