Silly to write a post just to say, "Hey, I know I've been away, and I'm sorry...I'll be back really soon". But I have a few minutes right now, so that's how I'm going to use them.
I've really been enjoying the summer here in Chicago. If you've never lived in Chicago you may not understand how we crave the summers here, and how, when they actually do come around, extremely essential it is to take advantage of the few months of good weather. If you are not from here you may not understand that each year, very late in the spring we begin to worry that THIS year summer will not arrive, and we will slip right into fall without ever seeing temperatures rise above 50 degrees. You may not understand how each year this is a true and honest fear, as true as any fear can be.
So here we are, mid-summer, and I am still in the blissful "I can't believe summer is here!" state. I have taken a break from life. I have neglected my studio, my blog and even some phone calls that I promised to make. I'm so sorry, I'm on summer vacation...the " gone fishin' " sign is hanging on my door.
But my mind is beginning to drift back to my studio, and also to my blog. I'm happy to say that I've recently installed some software on my phone that will allow me to publish a post from the beach, or the park, or wherever the warm summer winds might find me on any given day.
