OK, those of you who know me, or have conversed with me on any level know that I am, well, true to my Irish roots: talkative. What I am when I feel passionate about something and then sit down at a keyboard is something beyond talkative. I can go on FOREVER, and I tend use lots of ellipsis (...). In short, long-winded.
That said I am making a pledge. I am introducing a new post category called "30-Second Rants and Raves". It is a section where I will talk about something I am feeling really passionate about. The subject may not be directly studio related, but it will be something that somehow impacts my life, and therefore impacts the studio.
My one requirement for this section is this: rather than my usual go-on-forever style, I promise it will take 30 seconds at most to read. I'll do my best...it may be a bit painful at first, but I'll try to get through it.
Here's my first attempt...ready, aaaaand...GO!

Type: RAVE
Subject: The Brelli
The World's first 100% biodegradable umbrella, made with a unique biodegradable plastic canopy and bamboo...and it looks great too!
I've had the same umbrella for 6 1/2 years. Yes, in Chicago, where the wind eats umbrellas for breakfast.
I've been thinking of getting a new one for years, but I've been putting it off because my trusty orange umbrella just kept going and going, and I didn't want to buy a new one until I really needed one.
Well, last fall ol' orange finally gave out and the metal wore a hole through the nylon.
Enter: The Brelli
I ordered one. It ships next week...I'll write a review after I use it a few times.
Did you time me? How did I do?
